Welcome to my website. I am Manuel Francisco Sambo, a Mozambican researcher and consultant with expertise in security studies and (geo)political risks in Southern and Eastern Africa.
My academic background includes a PhD from the Graduate School of Global Studies, Doshisha University (Japan), where I studied the politics of peace in post-war Mozambique. I also hold an MA in International Development (specialising in peace and governance and economic development policy) and a BA in International Relations and Diplomacy.
I have researched and published on topics including peacebuilding, regional security, and post-conflict transitions in internationally recognised journals. My upcoming book, Contested Peace in Mozambique (Springer), explores how global peacebuilding norms play out in local political contexts. I also have teaching experience as a lecturer, teaching assistant and facilitator.
Whether through research, teaching, or consultancy work, I am passionate about critical thinking, problem-solving and innovation.
Feel free to contact me through this website, e-mail or the social media links on this page.
